ACTIVE:
Studio & Retail Operations Lead
In-Person | 30 hrs/week | $35/hr + Health Insurance + Perks
Prema is hiring! We’re looking for a reliable, organized, motivated, and community-minded team member to join us in a key hybrid role supporting both our Brooklyn boutique and studio. This is an in-person position (30 hours/week) with $35/hour pay, single health insurance coverage, and great in-house perks.
Schedule: Must be available one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Hours are spread across three weekdays plus one weekend day.
Your Role Will Include – Boutique Operations (Retail Focus – Experience Required)
Retail experience is essential, specifically in beauty, apparel, home goods, and lifestyle retail
Customer service and front-of-house responsibilities at our Brooklyn shop
Shopify POS and online platform management (orders, returns, customer communication)
Developing the e-commerce side of the business is key — ability to manage, optimize, and grow online sales is 100% part of this role, with a focus on increasing site sales rather than relying primarily on in-person transactions
Ability to navigate and set up Instagram and TikTok shops and integrate with Shopify to expand digital reach
Organization of files and product information to ensure accuracy and efficiency across platforms
Packing and shipping online orders with care and efficiency
Backstock and inventory management, restocking, and tracking
Canva proficiency for in-store signage, product cards, and promotional graphics
Assist with retail team scheduling and day-to-day coordination
Help support the setup of our new Hudson Valley retail space (occasional in-person work, with weekend presence a possibility as we grow)
Studio Operations & Events
Maintain a clean, cared-for, and welcoming studio environment
Help coordinate and support events such as Prema Talks, boutique pop-ups, and workshops
Manage outreach to invite high-quality speakers, collaborators, and retail pop-up partners
Research and communicate with potential collaborators in a professional, compelling way
Liaise with artists, teachers, and creative partners to bring strong community-facing experiences to life
Light Squarespace updates and email communication (training available)
Marketing & Media Support
Social media management experience and fluency (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
Comfortable creating and posting Reels and video content (CapCut or similar tools)
Capture and edit short-form video content during classes, events, and studio moments
Liaison with studio teachers to gather class footage, photos, and stories for content
Proficiency in Mailchimp for newsletters and digital outreach, including putting out weekly newsletters
Collaborate on campaigns to grow community awareness and engagement
You Are
Grounded, professional, dependable, and warm in presence
Creative, highly motivated, and detail-oriented
Efficient, communicative, and quick without being messy
A proactive self-starter who can initiate ideas, not just execute them
Experienced in retail (required) and enjoy engaging with customers in person
Comfortable using digital tools like Shopify, Canva, Mailchimp, and social media platforms
Confident navigating e-commerce platforms and social shopping integrations (Shopify, Instagram, TikTok) to drive online sales growth
Organized, professional, and confident in outreach and communication — especially when engaging potential collaborators, speakers, and pop-up brands
Passionate about design, wellness, and building community
Available for in-person work across three weekdays and one weekend day
Able to stand for extended periods and assist with occasional lifting/unpacking of inventory boxes
Open to occasional in-person work in the Hudson Valley, including some weekends, especially as our new location gets up and running
Compensation & Perks
Pay: $35/hour

Description:
Create & structure content and execution for increased engagement and attendance at in house studio events, retail store, trainings & retreats - not limited to but including full community activations, creative collaborations & navigation of social media platforms including IG/TikTok.
Requirements:
Experience in digital and community marketing with proven track record (will require)
Detail oriented, creative ability to think outside the box, communicative, reliable and a sense of humor!
Job will work directly with studio owner - plus teaching and boutique staff when needed.
Familiar with boutique retail and 'wellness' world necessary.
Compensation:
12-15 hours/week - combination of WFH and In Person
$30/hour with room to grow based on performance

Part Time Boutique Manager
We are looking to add to our amazing team at our yoga studio/retail boutique/community space in Brooklyn.
We are NOT looking for someone to clock in and clock out.
Candidate must have prior retail and management experience.
Should be an eager upbeat self starter, confident taking initiative, enthusiastic to share ideas, passionate about community, yoga, and how to grow with us.
Provide warm and friendly sales service; learn the products/who the artisans are and scout out comparable product.
Have similar aesthetic and add your own input to merchandising presentation. Be interested in design.
Be incredibly organized and efficient, both with inventory/back-stock/the physical space AND in communication and presentation of ideas of the overall brand
Excellent time management skills
**Share ideas about how to build our brand and feedback on how to maintain and improve an experience for our customers
Creative with displays and community engagement
Social media experience/knowledge.
Point person for other retail associates.
Work together with boutique/studio owner on product orders.
Knows or can learn swiftly Shopify/Faire.
Must be available at least one weekend day and one-two weekday days.
