CONNECTION [with Hiley du Seigneur & Eddie Stern ]

  • Prema Brooklyn 976 Fulton Street Brooklyn, NY, 11238 United States (map)

What does it mean to feel truly connected - to yourself, to others, and to the present moment?

Connection is a collaborative workshop that weaves together breathwork, meditation, intuitive movement, contact improvisation and restorative yoga to explore the experience of the embodied self and human connection.

The workshop will begin with a "Return to the Self" through breathing practice, meditation and grounding techniques to arrive fully in the body and the present moment.

Then the "Body Unfolds" with intuitive movement, embodied expression, progressive explorations and contact improvisation.

Finally there is "Integration" with restorative postures, deep release and relaxation. It is a chance to absorb the experience and return to stillness.

Throughout the workshop, breath, silence, music, movement and touch become tools for exploration rather than performance. Nothing is required and nothing is forced. Participants are invited to move at their own pace within a supportive, non-judgemental environment where whatever arises is welcomed with care.

You are welcome to attend alone or with a partner or friend. No prior experience of yoga, dance or movement practices is required.

Whether you are new to these practices or have years of experience, the intention remains the same: to create a space where you can feel more present, more alive, and more deeply connected - both within yourself and in relation to others.

HILEY DU SEIGNEUR

Hiley Du Seigneur began studying classical ballet at the age of five and entered professional dance training in Paris at ten. Following injuries and personal challenges, she moved beyond the classical tradition to explore contemporary dance, modern jazz and character dance before discovering contact improvisation — a form that transformed her relationship with movement. Her later studies in yoga and pranayama deepened this exploration and now inform her teaching.

“CONNECTION emerged naturally. It is the space I once longed for when I needed it most: a space of safety, freedom, authenticity and connection with both self and others.”

EDDIE STERN

Eddie Stern began practising yoga at the age of eighteen. His introduction to yoga centred on meditation, study and lifestyle practices before he encountered postures and breathing techniques. Over decades of teaching and practice, his understanding of yoga has evolved from rigid structures and physical achievement towards a simpler, more adaptable approach rooted in the classical traditions of India. Today, Eddie teaches yoga as a practical path of self-inquiry, using posture, breath, relaxation and meditation as tools for cultivating awareness, resilience and connection.
