Each session we learn a new song. Songs will be released the week of the choir and music sent out to participants prior to joining!

During our time together we will:

• Play singing games to activate our voices, bodies, and connection to one another

• Work through the song section by section, infusing some musicality as we go

• Discuss the lyrics of the song and what meaning we can find in it

• Sing through the song a few times in different formations and experience the music in unique ways!

Sundays - March 29th - For this One-Day Choir at Prema, we’ll be singing “Leaving on a Jet Plane” by John Denver. The song touches on the feelings that coincide with an ending of a relationship or the simple realities of change we cannot control. Arranged by Kenter Davies, we’ll dive into song and community together.

Kenter Davies is a vocal arranger, music educator, and choral facilitator based in Brooklyn, New York. He dedicates his work to creating spaces for individuals to informally engage with music free from perfection, valuing the journey over the destination. He firmly believes in making music for music-making’s sake.
