Carrie Ann Belanger

For me, connecting to the movement of life that is nourishing us all every moment is the greatest gift. This is what led me to found Veza, a Pilates and somatic movement studio that began in Pacific Grove, CA in 2015. After moving to the east coast I now share my love of movement through both online classes and in person private sessions from my home studio in Hudson, NY. My passion is to guide people to connect more deeply & lovingly with themselves, build strength from within, and cultivate a vibrant and joyful life.

I’m a life long dancer, and have always been curious about the interplay of Psyche and Soma. Over the last 25yrs I’ve cultivated my practice under the wise and generous guidance of mentors such as Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen (Body-Mind Centering), Wendy Le-Blanc Arbuckle (The Pilates Center in Austin), Colette Davis (Samavesa School of Yoga), and many others who have inspired me. It is my aspiration to follow in their footsteps, creating and nurturing a space for you to embrace your curiosity, dive deeply into your own exploration, discover your unique path, and listen to the wisdom that resides within you.

I received my 600hr comprehensive classical Pilates training from Frog Temple Pilates in Chicago, my 550hr Yoga training from Samavesa School of Yoga, and more hours than I can count studying massage & bodywork at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. I weave BodyMind Centering, Pilates, Yoga in the style of Embodied Flow, meditation, breathwork and self myofascial release to create classes and workshops that support your personal explorations. I’m here to listen and engage in a meaningful dialogue with you, and through these practices empower all of us to live life with greater ease and freedom. I’m grateful and honored to move with you all here at Prema!
