SEASONAL

Newborn Care

Welcoming a newborn is a magical milestone, but figuring out hands-on care in the moment can feel overwhelming! Mastering the core fundamentals of practical infant care and baby behavior prior to your birth can ease anxiety and empower you with real-world confidence once your little one is finally in your arms.

This interactive session is designed for expectant parents seeking clarity, peace of mind, and practical guidance as they navigate the early weeks of life with a newborn.

Join Adriane Stare, Experienced Postpartum Doula and Parent of two from Mostpartum NYC, for an engaging, hands-on workshop dedicated to demystifying early infant care.

What we'll cover together:

  • Essential daily baby mechanics, including proper swaddling techniques, diapering, infant hygiene, bath time, and umbilical cord care

  • Biological infant sleep, Safe sleep guidelines, and how to set up your sleep environment

  • Proven calming and soothing strategies, and how to decode normal infant crying and help settle your newborn

  • Normal infant behavior and red flags to look for so you know exactly when to contact your pediatrician

  • Most importantly, how to build confidence and navigate the practical side of physical care during your baby's first weeks

All attendees will receive take-home handouts to reinforce and further their learning at home! If time allows, and some participants may choose to practice care strategies using Adriane's weighted baby dolls!

Feeding a baby with your body may be simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy! Understanding the key fundamentals of early lactation and newborn behavior before your baby arrives can go a long way toward helping you feel less anxious and more prepared when it’s time to breastfeed in real life.

This workshop is perfect for expectant parents seeking clarity, confidence, and reassurance in the early days of milk-making and feeding their babies.
